Meet Marvel!
Marvel is an almost two-year-old Carolina Dog/Basenji mix from Randallstown, MD, whose essence is a vibrant burst of joy wrapped in a luxuriously tan coat. This athletic and spirited boy is ready to explore the world by your side!
Marvel thrives on outdoor adventures. Whether it’s bounding through the woods on a hike, joining you for a jog, or chasing a ball, his zest for life will keep you energized. Marvel is also a clever and curious learner who loves puzzle toys and has already mastered tricks like “sit” and “spin.” With his quick mind and eagerness to please, Marvel is excited to learn even more from the right trainer or owner.
Marvel has resource guarding tendencies, which means he may act protectively around food, toys, or other valued items. He has made progress with training, but his future family will need to be patient, consistent, and committed to helping him continue this work. Marvel’s adoption includes a professional canine behaviorist session to guide his transition and provide tools to support his success. With the right training and understanding, Marvel can thrive and grow into the incredible companion he’s meant to be.
Marvel’s future family should also be active and adventurous, sharing his love for the outdoors. A fenced yard would be a bonus, but daily exercise and engaging activities are essential. While he enjoys the company of other dogs, Marvel would do best with a savvy owner who can manage introductions and interactions thoughtfully.
Marvel is crate-trained and comfortable being alone for short periods. He is fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped, with a solid obedience training foundation and a willingness to keep learning.
If you’re excited to build a lifelong bond with Marvel and are ready to guide him as he continues to grow and overcome his resource-guarding tendencies, he could be the perfect addition to your family.
