Meet Dallas!

An affectionate and spirited American Pitbull Terrier residing in Dixon, IL, whose zest for life rivals that of a playful puppy. Despite his exuberance, Dallas grapples with some anxiety.

Dallas would love to go to his forever home with his bonded friend, Nova. However, if necessary, we are willing to separate them to ensure they each find their forever families.

While formal obedience training has not been a part of his journey, Dallas is proficient in essential commands such as sit, down, paw, up, high five, leave it, enough, and drop it. However, his personality extends beyond these commands.

Dallas needs a home without other small animals, especially cats, due to past incidents where he and Nova have harmed them—one recently and another several years ago. A family or individual who is dedicated, understanding, and experienced in managing complex canine behaviors would be ideal. He will also do best in a home with a fenced-in yard providing space for his adventures.

Dallas is friendly to strangers and in moments of solitude, he demonstrate resilience, although Dallas may experience anxiety during vet visits or car rides. It's essential to approach these situations with patience and understanding to alleviate his fears. Dallas weighs around 90 pounds and he is up to date on his vaccinations and has been neutered.

To make sure that Dallas has a great start with their new family, we have a canine behaviorist available for a free consultation.
