An adorable six-year-old Bichon Frise/Poodle mix from Concord, NH, who embodies the perfect blend of playfulness and loyalty, wrapped in a soft tan coat. This little guy, weighing in at seventeen pounds, is a small bundle of joy who thrives on companionship and a steady routine. Casper has a gentle and friendly nature, making him a wonderful companion for those who can appreciate his quirky yet endearing personality.
Casper has a special fondness for squeaky balls—watch his eyes light up as he chases them around, his fluffy tail wagging in pure delight! He’s also known to do a little dance for cheese, a treat he simply can’t resist! Walking is another favorite pastime, and he enjoys regular strolls throughout the day, taking in the sights and smells of the world around him.
Casper is well-socialized and has lived harmoniously with a Dachshund and even a toddler, proving he’s great with other dogs and young children. His friendly demeanor extends to strangers, making him a welcoming presence wherever he goes. While he’s not particularly interested in cats, he hasn’t had enough interaction with them to form a strong opinion.
Casper is house-trained, microchipped, neutered, and up to date on all his vaccinations, so he’s ready to move into his new loving home. He’s also had a brush with anxiety, especially when left alone, but with patience and consistent work, he’s been making progress. Casper’s anxiety can be triggered by loud popping noises like plastic wrap, but with the right environment and a caring pet parent who understands his needs, he’s sure to thrive!
While Casper has had a few challenges, such as an incident during COVID when he couldn’t be groomed and became defensive, leading to him biting a person, it’s believed that this happened because he couldn’t see well due to his overgrown fur. Since then, there have been no other incidents, and Casper has shown his true nature—a sweet, loyal companion with a gentle heart! These moments are rare and tied to specific circumstances. With his loving disposition, Casper is not an aggressive dog—he simply needs a stable, loving home where he can feel secure.
