Meet June, also known affectionately as Junie B. Jones!
A spirited three-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier/Bloodhound mix from Cameron, NC, whose heart is as big as her love for adventure. Wrapped in a beautiful brindle coat with white accents, June is a perfect blend of playful energy and quiet, snuggly moments. She’s the type of dog who will be your loyal hiking buddy one moment and your couch companion the next. Whether it's tug-of-war with her favorite toy or enjoying a scenic walk, June knows how to make the most of life’s simple pleasures.
June is a smart girl, too! Thanks to some formal obedience training, she knows all the basics: sit, stay, paw, and even place. This makes her not only fun to spend time with but also a well-mannered housemate. While she can get a little overly excited sometimes—who wouldn’t when tug-of-war is on the table?—her moderate energy level makes her easy to manage in the right environment.
June has a soft, sensitive side, especially when it comes to new things. Loud noises or unfamiliar objects and people can make her a bit anxious, but with some patience and a calm environment, she settles in beautifully. She's crate-trained, enjoys her cozy den while her pet parent is away, and appreciates a daily routine of morning and evening strolls. June has done well around other dogs, although she’s a bit shy at first. And as for cats? Well, they’re not really on her radar, so she’s neutral on the matter.
Because of her more timid side, June is looking for a moderately quiet home where she can thrive without too much stimulation. She needs a guardian who understands her anxieties and is willing to offer her the love and support she needs. If you have a fenced yard where she can safely explore and unwind, June will feel right at home!
