Meet Daisy Mae!
A spirited almost seven-year-old Australian Cattle Dog/Hound mix from Dover, DE, whose heart is as big as her love for snuggles. With a striking red-mottled coat and expressive black patches on her face, Daisy Mae is a true beauty inside and out. She’s the perfect blend of playful energy and affectionate devotion, always ready for an adventure—or a cozy cuddle session where she insists on holding your hand like the loyal companion she is!
Daisy Mae thrives on activity and would love a home where she can stretch her legs with daily walks or zoom around a fenced yard. She’s a pro at wrestling with her favorite fuzzy toys, tossing them into the air before pouncing with excitement. Smart and well-trained, she knows commands like sit, place, shake, and lay down—especially if there’s a treat or a belly rub involved!
While she’s incredibly loving with her family, Daisy Mae prefers a calm environment where she can fully relax. Loud noises and unfamiliar people or dogs can make her a bit uneasy, and she has shown some reactivity in stressful situations, including nipping and occasional biting. Because of this, she’s looking for a pet parent who can provide a stable, structured home where she feels safe and supported. She would do best as the only pet in a home without young children, where she can soak up all the love and attention she craves.
This medium-sized sweetheart, weighing in at 55 pounds, is microchipped, spayed, and up to date on vaccinations. She’s independent when left alone for short periods but will greet you with enthusiastic tail wags and happy dances when you return! With her medium-to-high energy, she’s always ready for fun, but when the day winds down, she’s happiest snuggled up next to you, gently resting her paw in your hand.
Daisy Mae is looking for a family that understands her needs and is willing to give her the love, patience, and guidance she thrives on. Could she be the perfect match for your home? Contact [email protected] to learn more!
