A spirited one-and-a-half-year-old mixed breed pup currently living in Asheville, NC, whose essence is pure sunshine wrapped in a tan brindle coat with charming white accents.
Orzo is a joyful whirlwind of playfulness, brains, and heart! If fetch had a mascot Orzo would be it, especially if sticks are involved! He’s an all-in tug-of-war champ and puzzle toy enthusiast who lights up during training sessions. He already knows sit, down, and stay, and he's polishing up his heel and place commands. With a sharp mind and a heart full of loyalty, Orzo thrives on structure, fun challenges, and most importantly human connection.
When the zoomies settle, Orzo melts into full snuggle mode, offering the kind of cuddles that make a long day feel instantly better. He's crate-trained, house-trained, and sleeps soundly through the night, especially when given a fun toy to keep him company. Social by nature, Orzo adores other confident dogs who enjoy active play, though he may be a bit much for more reserved canine companions. As for cats, he's curious and eager to make friends, and with proper guidance, peaceful cohabitation is absolutely possible.
Orzo has a big, goofy heart and an equally big personality! His excitement sometimes translates into jumpy, mouthy greetings, especially during his signature celebratory zoomies, but he responds beautifully to calm redirection and positive reinforcement. Because of his exuberance and lack of spatial awareness, Orzo is better suited for families with dog-savvy kids who understand how to interact with energetic pups.
He adjusts well to new routines but needs time, typically 1–2 weeks, to decompress and feel secure in a new environment. During that window, a calm, predictable routine and plenty of enrichment help him feel at ease.
