Meet Dondo!
A sensitive and soulful almost two-year-old Australian Cattle Dog/Siberian Husky mix currently living in Los Angeles, CA, whose soft black and tan coat wraps around a heart full of love, curiosity, and quiet strength.
Dondo is the kind of pup who wins you over not with fanfare, but with gentle tail wags, soft eyes, and a quiet presence that slowly blossoms into deep affection. While he can be shy at first with new people, once he connects he bonds deeply, and that loyalty is something truly special. Around other dogs, he’s a natural! Social, relaxed, and friendly, Dondo thrives with canine companions and is currently thriving in doggie daycare and training where his confidence continues to bloom!
Fully house-trained, crate-comfortable, and incredibly well-mannered, Dondo is already mastering basic obedience like sit and stay. He sleeps peacefully through the night, enjoys a good cuddle session, and keeps his curious snout out of trouble (no chewing or destructive habits here). Though athletic and playful, his energy is balanced, more trail wanderer and cuddle enthusiast than wild zoomie machine.
Like many sensitive souls, Dondo carries a bit of anxiety from his past shelter life. Sudden loud noises and chaotic city streets can overwhelm him, sometimes causing him to freeze or look for a safe hiding spot. Because of this, Dondo is currently a full-time leash walker, and his caregivers are working steadily on recall. His ideal day includes a morning walk, quiet midday rest, a peaceful nature stroll in the afternoon, and some light play before bedtime. He absolutely thrives on routine!
His perfect match? A calm, loving household with access to nature, a consistent schedule, and ideally another dog to show him the ropes. A quieter neighborhood, a patient heart, and a comfy spot on the couch would mean the world to him.
