Meet Woo Woos!
A sensitive and soulful five-and-a-half-year-old Domestic Shorthair currently in Goodyear, AZ, whose warm orange tabby coat hides a heart full of potential just waiting for the right person to unlock it.
Woo Woos came into the world during the quiet of the pandemic and has only known life in a calm, one-on-one setting. Deeply bonded with his guardian, he’s the kind of cat who greets you at the door with affectionate leg rubs and loves creating cozy spaces, sometimes even making you a bed with his paws (it’s his version of home improvement!). But change has been difficult for him, and recent transitions have highlighted how much he depends on routine, trust, and predictability.
While staying at a relative’s home with multiple cats, Woo Woos kept his distance, showing that group living isn’t quite his style, though he did manage to coexist. He hasn’t shown interest in playing with others and tends to retreat rather than engage. What he truly needs is a calm, experienced adult-only home, where someone can patiently build trust with him at his own pace.
Now, it’s important to be honest: Woo Woos recently bit a family member while she was putting down his food. The incident involved her back being turned as she crouched near him, and though his motivations are unclear, it’s evident that he can react when startled or unsure. He’s also sensitive about being touched in certain areas, like his paws and belly, and may lash out if approached too quickly or without warning. Because of this, Woo Woos is looking for a guardian who understands feline behavior, practices positive reinforcement, and is ready to work gently with a cat who needs time, space, and consistency.
Woo Woos is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. His favorite activity? Mealtime! It’s the way to his heart and a great place to begin building a bond.
This boy isn’t a quick fix, he’s a journey. But for the right person, Woo Woos will offer a quiet kind of companionship that grows deeper with every passing day.
