Meet Marmalade!
A wise and whimsical eleven-year-old Domestic Medium Hair currently in Harvard, MA, whose orange and white tabby coat glows as warmly as her soft, pigeon-like purrs. With her plush fur, gentle heart, and soulful eyes, Marmalade is the kind of feline companion who turns quiet afternoons into moments of comfort and calm.
Despite her senior status, Marmalade is still light on her paws, she loves nothing more than batting her catnip-stuffed squirrel across the wood floor, chasing it with surprising agility! If the toy happens to tumble down the stairs, she’ll dutifully retrieve it like a true champion of squirrel rescue. Her playful spirit adds a dash of charm to every day, and her favorite time to unwind is curled up at the foot of the bed, where she softly purrs herself, and maybe you, into a peaceful nap.
Marmalade is affectionate on her own terms, and her favorite spots for scratches are the top of her head, her chin, and her lower back. She may request attention with a head bump or a soft meow, but she’s also a gal who values her space and appreciates caregivers who understand feline finesse. She’s eats heartily and still maintains her own grooming with the poise of a true queen!
Health-wise, Marmalade is currently on a kidney-supportive diet after some recent lab results showed slightly elevated proBNP and a lower than normal urine specific gravity. While she’s not on any medication and remains lively, she may benefit from future care with a specialist to ensure she continues to thrive.
Having lived in a quiet environment for much of her life, Marmalade would truly shine in a calm, cat-only home with no dogs or young children. She’s looking for a compassionate, attentive pet parent who has the time to play, the heart to love, and the resources to support her unique needs. In return, she offers peaceful companionship, the sweetest purrs, and the joy of watching a once-reserved cat bloom in a home filled with warmth.
