Meet Scout!
A cuddly and confident three-month-old Miniature Bernedoodle currently in Palo Alto, CA, whose essence is a playful swirl of blue merle charm and boundless puppy energy. This little guy is already showing the makings of a loyal, loving companion with a soft spot for cuddles and a spirited streak that keeps life interesting.
Scout is equal parts gentle snuggler and bold explorer! He knows his name, perks up at the sound of a whistle, and is beginning to master the basics like sit and stay. He sleeps peacefully through the night in his crate (a solid 7–8 hours!) and follows a steady routine of meals and outdoor adventures that help him thrive. Though he’s still young, he’s showing a strong physical presence and natural leadership during playtime, especially when romping around with his sister, Hazel. With his confident personality, Scout sometimes needs help staying focused during training but that’s where patience, structure, and positive reinforcement come in.
A professional trainer has noticed signs of littermate syndrome between Scout and Hazel, and to support their long-term growth, it may be best for them to be raised separately. That said, their current caregivers are open to the right family adopting both siblings, if ready for the rewarding challenge of raising two playful pups.
Scout is still a young puppy, and it will be a requirement that he be neutered at an appropriate age, when the procedure is safer and more beneficial for his growth and development. He is vaccinated, microchipped, and crate-trained, and he’s bounced back beautifully from an early parvo diagnosis. He’s expected to grow to about 45 pounds, just the right size for couch cuddles and weekend hikes alike! While he hasn’t had many interactions with other dogs or cats yet, his loving nature and eagerness to bond suggest he’ll adapt well with the right guidance and care.
