Meet Rose!
A deeply affectionate almost six-year-old American Pitbull Terrier currently in Audubon, NJ, whose golden coat with white accents is only outshined by her warm, loyal heart. Rose is the kind of girl who makes you feel instantly at home, whether she’s curling up under a blanket or gently snuggling beside you for quiet companionship.
Playful and loyal, Rose enjoys chew toys, squeaky toys, and romps in the backyard, but her true joy is being close to her people, preferably under a cozy blanket! She’s a constant companion who shines when given time, love, and a sense of security. While she hasn’t had formal training, she knows her basic commands and would benefit from continued positive reinforcement and consistency.
Rose has lived harmoniously with a toddler and cats for years, showing a soft, nurturing side that makes her a wonderful match for families with children or feline friends! She’s also friendly with other dogs, though her guardian notes that mealtime with other pups should be supervised. In one past situation involving food, Rose and another dog got into a scuffle, and during the effort to separate them, a person was accidentally bitten. It was never determined which dog was responsible, and since then, Rose has continued to show nothing but gentleness toward people. She remains social, affectionate, and welcoming with strangers.
This devoted pup thrives in a calm environment with a steady routine and a caregiver who understands her emotional needs. Rose takes daily Trazodone to manage her anxiety, and with this simple support, she is relaxed, content, and ready to share her love. She’s house-trained, spayed, microchipped, and current on all vaccinations.
Rose would be most compatible with a loving family who can maintain her medication, keep her environment peaceful, and shower her with affection.
Are you ready to welcome this golden-hearted girl into your life?
