Meet Midnight!
A charming almost twelve-year-old Domestic Short Hair currently in Portland, OR, whose silky black coat is accented by a single whimsical white spot on her belly, like a hidden treasure just for those lucky enough to earn her trust.
Midnight is the epitome of sweet peculiarities! She’s a chatty, affectionate girl who thrives on human connection, especially if you’re the kind of person who enjoys quiet company, warm laps, and brushing sessions (she’ll reward you with drool, that’s how you know you’re doing it right!). Though she’s a senior, Midnight still has plenty of personality to share. She'll sunbathe in windows, chirp at birds like she's giving a TED Talk, and occasionally surprise you with a burst of playful laser tag.
Midnight has lived her life indoors and prefers it that way. While she has previously lived with another cat, her ideal home would be a one-pet haven, where she can be the center of attention and soak up all the love. She gets along beautifully with adults, showing a special fondness for men, and she’s got a knack for making people feel special with her gentle, soulful presence.
She does need some special care: Midnight manages a long-term gastrointestinal condition believed to be linked to overactive stomach acid. She’s on a wet-food-only diet, served through an elevated, automatic feeder. Since switching from dry food, her vomiting has reduced to about once a week. She currently takes probiotics and CBD, though the latter has been less effective recently. Her movements are becoming more careful, hinting at possible early arthritis, so a gentle environment is key.
