Ranger

Meet Ranger!

A spirited two-and-a-half-year-old Australian Cattle Dog currently in Prineville, OR, whose essence is a vibrant burst of loyalty wrapped in a striking blue coat. This intelligent young boy has grown into a 60 pound bundle of energy who is always ready for his next adventure!

Ranger is house trained, neutered, and up to date on vaccinations, and he takes pride in being a very good boy. He can be wary of new people at first, especially men, but toss one of his beloved toys, add a treat or two, and you will quickly see his playful heart shine through. With a little patience and structured play, he warms up beautifully and forms strong bonds with his people.

This clever guy already knows sit, stay, lie down, shake, quiet, and drop it. He learns quickly and thrives with positive reinforcement, especially when snacks are involved! Ranger is highly food motivated and will happily show off his skills for a tasty reward. He may try to sneak a treat if one is within reach, which only adds to his charming, mischievous streak.

Fetch is his absolute favorite pastime! Balls and sticks are treasures in his world, while frisbees are mysteriously uninteresting. He needs one to two hours of daily ball play in a large, fenced yard to keep his mind and body happy. Without enough activity, he can become bored and a little whiny, but with the right routine, he truly thrives.

Ranger would do best as the only pet in a loving home, as he is selective with dogs and not compatible with cats. He is looking for a new caring environment with space to run and a family who enjoys staying active.

Could Ranger be the energetic new family member you have been waiting for?
