Meet Bobo!
A lovable six-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier currently in Portland, OR, whose tricolor coat and gentle eyes reflect a heart as big as his 70-pound frame. This handsome boy carries himself like a sturdy athlete on walks, yet at home he is convinced he is a lapdog who fits perfectly into any open space beside his favorite human. He has the wonderful balance of maturity and playfulness, blending calm companionship with joyful bursts of fun!
Bobo adores his daily walks and lights up at the mention of the dog park, where he happily socializes with other dogs. He is friendly with people and children, greeting new friends with a wag and an eager smile! Car rides are another favorite adventure, especially if they lead to fresh air and exploration. At home, he enjoys raw hides, lounging close to his person, and grazing throughout the day before heading out for another stroll.
This affectionate boy bonds deeply and thrives when he can stay close to his caregiver. He would do well with a remote worker or retiree who can offer steady companionship. Because he is strong on leash, he needs someone comfortable handling a sturdy dog and committed to continuing positive reinforcement training.
He already knows kennel, come, sometimes sit, and break or drop, and he is eager for more learning opportunities. Bobo can be sensitive to the vacuum and large objects, and he experiences separation-related distress, sometimes vocalizing when left alone. With patience, structure, and reassurance, he can continue building confidence. He is house-trained, crate trained, neutered, and up to date on vaccinations. While he has been around cats before, he would be most comfortable in a home without them.
Bobo is a big sweetheart who simply needs closeness, consistency, and love. Are you the one who will share your couch and your heart with Bobo?
