Lancelot

Meet Lancelot!

A charming nine-and-a-half-year-old Domestic Long Hair currently in San Diego, CA, whose gentle spirit is wrapped in a flowing gray tabby coat and crowned with the loudest, proudest purr you have ever heard. Weighing about 15 pounds, this handsome boy carries himself with quiet dignity, observing the world from the highest perch of his beloved cat tree before deciding who is worthy of his affection.

Lancelot is a shy soul who bonds deeply with his person. He may take a few weeks to settle in, but patience unlocks a truly devoted companion. Once he trusts you, he becomes wonderfully affectionate in his own way! He is not a lap cat, but he adores being pet over and over, leaning into your hand as his thunderous purr fills the room. He happily accepts belly rubs, curls up on your legs while you sleep, and supervises your workday by draping himself across your desk. Expect the occasional keyboard nudge as he rubs his face against it, just to remind you he is there!

Playtime is pure joy with Lancelot! His favorite game involves batting crinkly foil balls that you toss toward his cat tree throne. He also chatters enthusiastically at birds, especially ravens, through the window. With no teeth due to earlier gum disease, his little tongue sometimes peeks out, adding to his undeniable charm! He eats well and requires no special diet. He does have a documented allergy to the rabies vaccine and requires this consideration in his veterinary care, but he is otherwise healthy.

Lancelot needs a quiet, loving home where he can be the only animal and adjust at his own pace. A patient pet parent who understands shy cats and values calm companionship will be beautifully compatible with him.

Could your home be the peaceful next chapter Lancelot has been waiting for?
