Meet Bently!
A playful six-and-a-half-year-old American Pitbull Terrier currently in Clinton, NC, whose essence is a gentle burst of loyalty wrapped in a striking white coat with golden patches. Weighing about 55 pounds, this medium-sized boy carries himself with a sweet confidence that melts beautifully into those unforgettable eyes. Bently has grown into a devoted companion who knows how to balance fun with affection.
Bently is wonderful with young children and happily plays with grandkids, soaking up every giggle and game of tug with his beloved pull rope! He lights up when someone invites him to play and will gladly trade a round of fun for a round of belly rubs. Cuddles are one of his specialties, and he leans in close to show just how affectionate he can be. Attention is truly his love language, and he thrives when surrounded by people who enjoy giving pets and praise.
While he may feel a little shy in new environments at first, Bently warms up with patience and kindness. He knows “sit” and “come here,” and although he has not attended formal training classes, he would thrive with positive reinforcement and new learning opportunities. He enjoys roaming on leash during walks, taking in the world one curious sniff at a time.
Bently was house-trained earlier in his life. However, after spending the past few years in his own outdoor space, it is unknown whether he remembers his indoor routines. With consistency, encouragement, and gentle guidance, he can relearn and adjust beautifully. He is neutral around other dogs and would need thoughtful introductions as he gets used to canine companions again. He has not spent time with cats recently and tends to keep his distance.
Vaccinations are up to date, and he is ready for his next chapter with a new loving family who can offer a new loving environment filled with companionship and structure. Bently will be required to be neutered prior to placement in his new home.
Could Bently be the loyal companion who joins your family’s next adventure?
