Bossco

Meet Bossco!

A spirited three-and-a-half-year-old Northern Breed/Terrier mix currently in Clarkston, MI, whose bright personality and striking tan coat with hints of silver and black give him the look and confidence of a miniature sled dog ready for adventure.

Bossco carries himself with the proud presence of a working dog, complete with a deep, booming bark that he happily uses while watching the neighborhood from the yard. He also brings plenty of feisty terrier energy to the mix, adding an extra spark of enthusiasm and personality to his days! This intelligent boy forms strong bonds with his people and quickly becomes a loyal shadow who loves following his favorite humans from room to room just to stay connected.

One of Bossco’s sweetest quirks is his dedication to bathroom check-ins, where he pops in for a quick hello and a few gentle kisses as if confirming everything is going smoothly. Mornings sometimes begin with Bossco hopping onto the bed to deliver a cheerful good morning greeting before the day’s adventures begin.

He loves belly rubs and cozy couch time, often rolling onto his back with all four paws in the air once he feels relaxed and comfortable. Small plush toys are treasured prizes, especially his beloved Lamb Chop, who frequently travels around the house tucked proudly in Bossco’s mouth!

Walks, jogging, sniffing trails, and exploring the outdoors make this curious companion incredibly happy, and he is always ready to head out for the next neighborhood “mush.” Bossco is highly food-motivated and already knows sit, shake, and high-five, making him a fun partner for continued positive reinforcement training or even agility style activities.

Bossco experiences anxiety and forms very strong attachments to his people, so he needs a confident, experienced guardian who understands Huskies or other northern breeds and can provide structure, reassurance, and patient behavior support. He would do well in a home with a single woman or a family made up primarily of women, where he can feel secure and build trust at his own pace. Because Bossco experiences separation anxiety and can become vocal and distressed when alone, a guardian who works from home and can offer consistent companionship would be especially suitable for him.

Bossco is good with dogs, especially female dogs, though he has had altercations with some male dogs. With slow, calm introductions and time to settle in, he can build positive relationships, and he now gets along with the other male dog in his home. He can also be reactive toward dogs on walks, so continued positive reinforcement and thoughtful introductions will help him succeed.

Could Bossco be the devoted shadow who joins you on daily walks, couch cuddles, and life’s little moments?
