Bossco

Meet Bossco!

A spirited three-year-old mixed breed currently in La Mesa, CA, whose bright personality and striking tan coat with hints of silver and black give him the look and confidence of a miniature sled dog ready for adventure.

Bossco carries himself with the proud presence of a working dog, complete with a deep, booming bark that he happily uses while watching the neighborhood from the yard. This intelligent boy forms strong bonds with his people and quickly becomes a loyal shadow who loves following his favorite humans from room to room just to stay connected.

One of Bossco’s sweetest quirks is his dedication to bathroom check-ins, where he pops in for a quick hello and a few gentle kisses as if confirming everything is going smoothly. Mornings sometimes begin with Bossco hopping onto the bed to deliver a cheerful good morning greeting before the day’s adventures begin.

He loves belly rubs and cozy couch time, often rolling onto his back with all four paws in the air once he feels relaxed and comfortable. Small plush toys are treasured prizes, especially his beloved Lamb Chop, who frequently travels around the house tucked proudly in Bossco’s mouth!

Walks, jogging, sniffing trails, and exploring the outdoors make this curious companion incredibly happy, and he is always ready to head out for the next neighborhood “mush.” Bossco is highly food-motivated and already knows sit, shake, and high-five, making him a fun partner for continued positive reinforcement training or even agility style activities.

Bossco forms very strong attachments to his people and experiences separation anxiety when left alone, becoming vocal and distressed as he searches for his humans. Because of this, he thrives in homes with consistent companionship such as work-from-home professionals, retirees, or multi-adult households with staggered schedules where someone is often present.

On walks, Bossco can also be reactive when encountering other dogs and may growl or become tense on leash. With patient introductions, guidance, and continued positive reinforcement training, he can continue building confidence and learning calm walking skills.

Bossco may also be compatible with a confident female dog after thoughtful introductions. He sleeps soundly in his crate at night and spends his days hoping to share life’s moments with his people.

Could Bossco be the devoted shadow who joins you on daily walks, couch cuddles, and life’s little moments?
