Meet Wolfie!
A spirited one-year-old Domestic Short Hair currently Austin, TX, whose essence is a warm burst of affection wrapped in striking mackerel tabby stripes.
This small, bright-eyed girl has a way of making every moment feel special! She greets you at the door with excitement, happily melts into your arms, and loves being held over your shoulder like a tiny, purring companion. At bedtime, she snuggles close and gently presses her face against yours, turning ordinary nights into something deeply comforting.
Wolfie’s playful side is just as charming! She adores hide-and-seek, darting from room to room in gleeful pursuit, and she lights up at the sight of wand toys, ribbons, and even a good birdwatching session by the window. She is adorably talkative too, responding to her name with a soft little “mrow” as if she is part of every conversation. One of her funniest quirks is her fascination with the toilet flush, watching it swirl with wide-eyed curiosity.
She is wonderfully social and has spent time around other cats, a gentle dog, and young children, showing how adaptable and friendly she can be. Wolfie thrives in a caring environment where companionship is part of daily life, and she feels most at ease when she is not alone for long stretches.
Wolfie would be compatible with a home where she is rarely alone, ideally with two or more people or someone who works from home, and she truly enjoys the company of other gentle animals, especially fellow cats. She thrives on connection and steady companionship throughout the day.
Wolfie requires medication twice a day to help manage Feline Hyperesthesia, a neurological condition that causes episodes of overstimulation and self-directed behaviors. While her medication has helped significantly, she still experiences daily episodes that vary in frequency and intensity. During these moments, she benefits from calm reassurance, gentle redirection, and a peaceful environment.
Her family is continuing to explore supportive treatments and management options to help keep her comfortable and thriving. Wolfie would do best with a patient and compassionate adopter who understands that her condition requires ongoing consistency and care.
Could your home be the place where her love, playfulness, and gentle spirit continue to grow?
