A gentle four-year-old Domestic Short Hair currently in San Jose, CA, whose calico coat wraps a quiet, tender spirit full of soft surprises. Philo is the kind of companion who turns peaceful moments into something special, happily spending much of her day curled in her favorite cat tree or tucked into a cozy cat cave, dreaming the hours away. She has a beautifully independent nature and is content doing her own thing most of the time, bringing a peaceful, easygoing energy to a quiet home.
But that calm independence comes with a sweet twist! About ten percent of the time, Philo transforms into a loving cuddle bug who seeks out a warm lap, gently kneads her little “biscuits,” and fills the room with her steady, comforting purrs. Watching her stretch out on her back in a sunbeam or loaf perfectly by the window is a daily joy, especially when she chatters at birds or pops up onto her back feet while playing with her toy mouse.
Philo is litter box trained and thrives with consistency, though during times of stress or change she may occasionally have accidents, so she will benefit from a patient, understanding transition into her new routine. A calm, gradual transition helps her feel safe and secure as she adjusts. She enjoys her wet food diet and approaches mealtime with an open mind, happily sampling what is offered after a short adjustment period.
