Meet Merlin!
A spirited almost six-year-old Siberian Husky/Shepherd mix currently in Mill Valley, CA, whose essence is a vibrant burst of adventure wrapped in a striking tricolor coat.
Merlin is a large, 75-pound boy with a playful, friendly, and wonderfully goofy personality that has a way of making every day feel a little brighter! Whether he is splashing through the water on a swimming adventure, racing after sticks tossed across rolling hillsides, or proudly carrying around a mini Rubbermaid trash can as if it were the greatest treasure ever discovered, he approaches life with enthusiasm and a contagious sense of fun.
This energetic companion loves games of tug of war, enjoys hoola hoops, and is always ready for the next outdoor adventure! He already knows commands like sit, stay, and lie down, and he would enjoy continuing to learn through positive reinforcement and engaging training sessions. Merlin thrives when he has structure, plenty of exercise, and meaningful activities that keep both his mind and body busy.
Merlin is compatible with other dogs, although introductions with unneutered males should be managed thoughtfully. He also lived happily alongside a family cat and has shown he can peacefully share his life with feline friends. Calm, respectful children who are school-age and older are a great match for his playful nature. He has no history of biting and enjoys building trusting relationships with the people around him.
Like many intelligent working-breed mixes, Merlin is a clever escape artist who can spot an open door or a gap in fencing. Because of this, he would do well with a securely enclosed space, more acreage to explore safely, and a family who can give him a purpose that taps into his natural instincts. Loud motorcycles, road bikes, and car rides can make him bark, so continued guidance and patience will help him grow even more confident.
Merlin is healthy, vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and house-trained, and he is available for long-distance adoption to help him find the right loving home. Could Merlin be the playful partner who joins you for every new adventure?
