Meet Winter!
A spirited three-year-old German Shepherd currently in Bellevue, WA, whose essence is a radiant blend of confidence and kindness wrapped in a stunning, all-black, long-haired coat. Purebred and undeniably eye-catching, Winter has a way of turning ordinary walks into meet-and-greets because people simply cannot resist admiring her striking beauty! Beneath those gorgeous looks are unforgettable chocolate fondue eyes and a joyful personality that makes every day brighter.
Winter is wonderfully social and truly loves being part of everything her family does! She adores meeting new people, is gentle with children of all ages, and lights up whenever another dog is ready to play. More than anything, she enjoys being included, whether she's supervising household projects, inspecting every new item that comes through the door, or simply relaxing beside her favorite people. While she has no separation anxiety and handles short periods alone with ease, she is happiest when she can share daily life with those she loves.
One of Winter's most impressive qualities is her eagerness to learn. She has completed more than 20 training classes, including agility, nosework, obedience, and many other activities! Along the way, she earned her AKC Canine Good Citizen title along with AKC Trick Dog Novice and Intermediate titles. Despite her accomplishments, she is far from a nonstop working dog. She is perfectly content spending a lazy morning sleeping in before enjoying whatever adventure the day brings.
When it's time for fun, Winter has plenty of favorite activities. She loves romping with other dogs, playing hide-and-seek, splashing around in a kiddie pool on warm days, sticking her nose out the car window during rides, and stopping for a pup cup. Her playful spirit, paired with her calm nature at home, makes her a delightful companion for both adventures and quiet evenings.
Winter is house-trained, crate trained, microchipped, spayed, current on her vaccinations, and comes when called. She also receives a simple monthly injection to manage mild arthritis in her left hip, which was discovered during a preventive X-ray when she was spayed. The condition has remained completely symptom-free and has never slowed her down, though her future family should continue protecting her joints by limiting repetitive high-impact activities and following her straightforward treatment plan.
Winter would thrive in a loving home where she can remain an active part of family life. She would especially enjoy having another friendly dog to share her days with, and a fenced yard would give her space to stretch her legs and cool off in her favorite kiddie pool. Her compatibility with cats is still unknown, but her affectionate nature, excellent manners, and joyful personality make her an easy companion to love.
