This handsome boy is fully house-trained, neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and in excellent health with no special care or daily medications needed. His low energy level makes him wonderfully suited to someone who enjoys leisurely walks followed by relaxing at home. He sleeps through the night, enjoys two meals each day, and appreciates a steady routine with three daily walks.
Cooper can be a little shy when meeting someone new, but patience and kindness help him blossom into an incredibly devoted friend. Once he feels comfortable, his quiet affection and unwavering loyalty shine through in every gentle head rub and contented sigh. He knows the commands "sit" and "lie down," comes when called, and has no trouble staying home alone for short periods.
When out on walks, Cooper usually strolls at an easy, meandering pace, taking in the sights and smells. However, rabbits and other small animals can spark his excitement, so he needs a caregiver who can confidently handle a large, strong dog on leash or provide a securely fenced yard where he can safely enjoy the outdoors. Car rides can make him uneasy, but his calm nature returns once he is back on familiar ground.
Cooper is friendly with strangers, calm around other dogs, and happiest in a peaceful adult household or one with older children. Because of his strong prey drive, a cat-free home would be the safest choice. Daily brushing keeps his beautiful yellow coat looking its best.
