Meet Bruce!
A spirited seven-year-old Boxer/American Bulldog mix currently in Provo, UT, whose essence is a joyful blend of goofy enthusiasm, loyal affection, and playful charm wrapped in a handsome white coat with tan patches.
At about 65 pounds, Bruce is a big-hearted boy with a classic Boxer zest for life and an impressive appreciation for cozy downtime. His DNA results show he is 75% Boxer and 25% American Bulldog, which helps explain his athletic side, expressive personality, and devotion to his favorite people. Mention the word “walk,” and Bruce may greet the idea with an excited jump and one of his signature smiles!
Fetch and tug are also high on Bruce’s list of favorite activities. He loves bringing over a toy to invite his people into the fun, and his food motivation can make positive reinforcement especially rewarding! He already knows sit, shake, and lay down. Once the adventures are finished, Bruce is happy to trade action for affection, naps, and a soft blanket near the fire. After a bath, he becomes wonderfully velvety soft, adding extra appeal to cuddle time!
Bruce is house-trained, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. He is described as very healthy and does well when left alone for short periods. Vet visits can make him a little uneasy, although he handles them well.
This friendly fellow has done wonderfully with children, including his current pet parent’s grandchildren, though his experience with babies and crawling toddlers is limited. He has also successfully boarded with a family who had multiple dogs, including another Boxer. A cat-free home is the suitable choice for Bruce.
Bruce needs a family with time for daily walks, games, affection, and plenty of opportunities to be included in everyday life.
