Meet Zilyana, affectionately known as Zillie!
A spirited five-and-a-half-year-old Standard Schnauzer currently in Santa Maria, CA, whose essence is a delightful mix of athletic energy, Schnauzer silliness, and affection wrapped in a beautiful black coat.
At about 30 pounds, Zillie may be an adult, but she is convinced puppyhood should last forever! This playful girl would happily spend her days chasing toys, playing fetch, enjoying supervised squeaky toys, chewing filled bones, and soaking up all the snuggles and pets her people can provide. After a busy day of fun, she loves settling indoors near her family, content simply to be included in the evening activities.
Zillie is well trained, crate trained, house-trained, and knows sit, down, stay, quiet, place, and “go on” for heading to her crate. She comes when called and enjoys car rides, making her an enthusiastic companion for an active family! A securely fenced yard is important because this athletic Schnauzer has some impressive jumping skills.
Friendly with other dogs, Zillie loves canine playmates and may enjoy sharing her new loving home with a compatible dog her size or larger. Her energetic, enthusiastic play style can be a lot for smaller animals. She is curious about cats and may chase when they run, so she needs a cat-free home. Her experience with children is limited, so her compatibility with kids is currently unknown.
Being close to her people matters greatly to Zillie. She experiences separation anxiety and may whine or occasionally bark when left alone, often waiting near where her person departed. Her future family should be comfortable helping her build confidence with patient behavior support, positive reinforcement, and plenty of companionship. She can sleep comfortably in her crate, especially when it is positioned near her people.
Zillie is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready to bring her expressive Schnauzer smile, goofy personality, affection, and boundless enthusiasm into her next chapter! Could Zillie be the playful, devoted sidekick your family has been waiting to meet?
