Gwynnie is a people-loving girl who knows how to make cuddle time extra special! Settle into a comfy spot, and she may climb onto your lap and begin making her adorable “happy paws,” kneading away while enjoying your company. She does not particularly enjoy being held, but she loves choosing closeness on her own terms. She can be shy initially, then blossoms into a friendly companion once she feels comfortable. She has a special fondness for men and happily gravitates toward the men in her family.
When Gwynnie is ready for action, she makes her intentions charmingly clear by bringing her favorite toy to her people! She loves chasing toys up and down the stairs, relaxing on her cat perch, enjoying treats, and enthusiastically celebrating wet food. Life with Gwynnie offers a delightful combination of playful bursts, cozy lap time, and plenty of feline personality!
Gwynnie needs to be the only cat in her new loving home. She has become increasingly uncomfortable sharing her environment with other cats, including hissing, swatting, and urinating or occasionally defecating outside her litter box, particularly around areas another cat uses. She continues to use her litter box regularly, too. Because these behaviors appear closely connected to the presence and preferred spaces of the other cats, there is good reason to hope they may lessen significantly or stop once Gwynnie is settled as the only pet in a calm, cat-free home. Her family has thoughtfully tried multiple litter boxes and configurations, positive reinforcement, enzyme cleaners, deterrents, and furniture protection without lasting improvement. A gradual transition into her new environment will give her time to settle and establish comfortable litter-box routines.
Gwynnie has no bite history and has not shown aggression toward people. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. She is compatible with calm, respectful, school-age children and older. Her compatibility with dogs has not been assessed. A gradual transition, beginning in a comfortable contained space before expanding her access, will help her settle in.
