Meet Bailey!
A spirited five-year-old Labradoodle currently in Fort Washington, MD, whose essence is a joyful burst of adventure wrapped in a beautiful brown coat.
At about 40 pounds, Bailey is a fun-loving, friendly girl who brings enthusiasm to everything she does! Whether she is chasing a ball, heading out for a walk, hopping into the car, swimming, or setting off on a trail run, Bailey is happiest when she is moving alongside her favorite people. She currently enjoys about three miles of walking each day, plus plenty of ball play, and she can even trail run off leash with reliable recall!
Bailey is well trained and knows commands including sit, release, and chase. She is house-trained, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and accustomed to regular grooming every four to five weeks. After an active day, she settles down nicely and is a good sleeper. She also handles short periods alone well.
This social girl is wonderful with children of all ages and enjoys playing with other dogs! She currently lives comfortably with a cat and is friendly with feline companions. Bailey can occasionally growl when encountering German Shepherds, but she has never bitten or made contact with a person or another animal.
Bailey requires daily medication and a monthly injection to manage a previous diagnosis of Addison’s disease. She experienced one episode of severe lethargy about two years ago and has had no further episodes. A second veterinary opinion about the diagnosis is recommended. She is also being gradually weaned from anxiety medication.
With her abundant energy, Bailey needs a loving home with plenty of room for exercise, preferably outside an urban environment and with a fenced yard. An active family who enjoys running, hiking, walking, and outdoor adventures would find an enthusiastic companion in Bailey. Her new family should also be comfortable continuing her medication routine.
Are you ready to lace up your shoes, grab a ball, and make Bailey your next adventure buddy?
