Meet Pongo!
A sweet and intelligent ten-year-old Border Collie mix currently in Burns, TN, whose beautiful black-and-white coat and loving personality make her a wonderful companion. At approximately 60 pounds, this affectionate girl has a heart full of love, a playful spirit, and a special talent for making everyday moments brighter!
Pongo is one smart cookie! She knows several commands, including sit, come, sit up, and lie down. She's also incredibly food-motivated, making positive reinforcement training a fun opportunity to bond. Whether she's proudly showing off her skills or enjoying a tasty treat, Pongo loves connecting with her favorite people!
This lovely lady enjoys daily walks, stuffed animals, chew toys, and car rides. She's always happy to accompany her family on an adventure, but she's equally comfortable relaxing at home. Pongo has a wonderful balance of playful energy and easygoing companionship. She also does well when left alone for short periods.
Pongo would thrive in a loving home with a spacious, securely fenced yard where she can explore and enjoy the fresh air. A farm setting could also be a wonderful fit for this outdoorsy girl! She's comfortable with calm, respectful older children and generally neutral around cats and other dogs, although compatibility should be confirmed through thoughtful introductions. She currently shares her space with a small dog but could also enjoy being the only canine companion.
Pongo is spayed, house-trained, and up to date on vaccinations. She has some tartar and mild gingivitis, which her veterinarian is monitoring without recommending a dental cleaning at this time. Dental chews and routine care help support her smile!
