Meet Alamo and Margo!
An inseparable duo currently in Chicago, IL, featuring Alamo, a gentle almost eight-year-old Schnauzer/Shepherd mix, and Margo, an affectionate six-year-old purebred Pug, who are searching for a loving family to welcome them together.
Alamo is a mellow, 50-pound gentleman with a heart of gold! He may be shy during his first day with new people, but give him a little patience, and he'll become your loyal best friend. This sweet boy enjoys peaceful walks and off-leash adventures. He appreciates a consistent diet and brings a wonderfully calming presence wherever he goes.
Margo, his adorable 20-pound companion, is a certified velcro dog! This affectionate girl believes the greatest place on earth is curled up beside her favorite person. She's playful, food-motivated, and always ready to share some snuggles! After completing professional training, her leash manners have improved significantly, although she's continuing to practice staying calm around certain dogs so continued positive reinforcement will help her thrive.
Together, these two make a delightful team! Both Alamo and Margo absolutely love doggy daycare, where they enjoy socializing, playing, and making friends with other dogs. They're wonderful with canine companions off leash and have also lived harmoniously with a cat. They are house-trained, crate-trained, neutered and spayed, microchipped, and current on vaccinations. They know impressive commands, including sit, stay, wait, spin, and paw! They also sleep comfortably in their crates, settle peacefully when alone, and enjoy car rides. Their compatibility with children hasn't been established.
Alamo and Margo would flourish with a family who appreciates their special bond and can provide a quieter neighborhood or a yard for exploring. Margo needs regular facial fold cleaning and dental care, while both benefit from routine grooming.
They'll arrive with their crates, harnesses, and familiar supplies, plus transition support to help everyone settle comfortably!
