A loving 4-year-and-8-month-old Pit Bull Terrier mix, from Pasadena, CA, whose golden-red coat and gentle heart make him a wonderfully comforting companion.
Cameron has a special talent: knowing when someone needs a cuddle. Feeling blue? This affectionate boy is ready to settle beside you and offer his signature snuggles. He's a devoted companion who enjoys being close to his people, whether they're relaxing on the sofa or heading out for a little adventure.
At about 49 pounds, Cameron is a medium-sized sweetheart with refreshingly low-key energy. He enjoys walks, can join hikes, and likes car rides, but he's equally content with a quiet day at home and short outdoor breaks. He brings warmth to ordinary days without demanding nonstop entertainment. His favorite activity isn't chasing the fanciest toy. It's simply spending time with his humans.
Cameron already has some impressive skills. He's house-trained, crate-trained, leash-trained, and familiar with commands including sit, lay down, stay, and heel. He generally gets along with other dogs and has done well with children, especially calm, respectful school-age kids. His compatibility with cats is still unknown.
This sensitive boy can be shy around unfamiliar people, particularly visitors entering his space. He may voice his uncertainty before settling in, so patient introductions and positive reinforcement will help him feel secure. Being left alone can initially cause stress, although he can adjust with time.
Cameron also needs a caring family who can support his health. He's neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and receives 40 mg of Prozac daily to manage anxiety. He has a history of allergies, so his future pet parent should be prepared to continue appropriate care.
What makes Cameron unforgettable is his empathy. Beneath that handsome golden coat is a loyal friend who seems to understand the value of simply being there. A family who appreciates affection, calm routines, and a little patience could share countless cozy moments with him.
